Your financial information, handled with care

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sowora processes, why we use it, how financial statements are handled, and the choices available to you.

Effective date: 15 September 2026

01

What Sowora does

Sowora is a personal finance organization and budgeting application. It is designed to help users organize financial information, review transactions, understand spending, manage budgeting information, and work with financial statements.

Sowora is not currently a bank, lender, payment service, broker, investment adviser, portfolio manager, insurance intermediary, or other regulated financial institution.

Sowora does not currently provide regulated investment advice, securities recommendations, brokerage, lending, banking, insurance, or payment services.

02

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Sowora, we may process the following categories of information.

Account information

When you create or use a Sowora account, we may process your email address, authentication and account information, login and session information, and information needed to verify your account or reset your password.

Financial information

If you use Sowora's financial management features, you may provide income, expenses, transactions, account information, categories, savings and investment-related amounts, credit-card information, loan information, and other financial information you choose to enter.

Uploaded financial statements

Sowora allows you to upload supported financial statements, including PDF statements, for processing and transaction extraction. These documents may contain sensitive financial information such as account details, transactions, balances, dates, and other information present in the statement.

03

How we use your information

We use information we process for purposes including:

  • creating and maintaining your Sowora account;
  • authenticating you and keeping your account secure;
  • providing financial organization and budgeting features;
  • processing uploaded statements and extracting transactions;
  • storing financial information that you choose to save;
  • displaying financial summaries and analysis;
  • responding to support requests;
  • processing privacy, account, or deletion requests;
  • maintaining and improving the service;
  • preventing misuse, fraud, and security incidents; and
  • complying with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your financial information to provide personalized securities investment advice or to make investment decisions on your behalf.

04

Uploaded PDF statements

When you upload a PDF statement for extraction, the file is sent to Sowora's authenticated extraction service for processing.

The current extraction system checks the uploaded file and PDF signature, limits uploads to 25 MB, processes the document using temporary server-side storage, may accept a PDF password when required, and removes the temporary processing directory after processing completes.

Uploaded PDFs are therefore processed temporarily for extraction rather than being retained as a permanent document library by Sowora.

Financial information extracted from a statement may subsequently be stored as part of your Sowora financial data when you choose to keep or save that information.

PDF extraction and transaction recognition may not be completely accurate for every financial institution or statement format. You should review extracted information before relying on it.

05

Authentication and account security

Sowora uses Supabase services for authentication and related account functionality.

Authentication may involve account registration, email verification, password-based login, password reset, session management, and sign-out.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect accounts and personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or loss. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

06

Where information is processed

Sowora uses third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase, to provide authentication, database, and related application infrastructure.

Your information may therefore be processed by these service providers as necessary to provide Sowora. Depending on the infrastructure and location of those providers, information may be processed or stored outside India.

We do not currently operate our own physical data centres.

07

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information or financial information.

We may share or permit access to information where reasonably necessary to provide the service through infrastructure and technology providers, maintain authentication and database services, protect the security and integrity of Sowora, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, users, service, or property.

We do not currently operate an advertising network that uses your financial information for targeted advertising.

08

Analytics, cookies, and browser storage

Sowora does not currently use a dedicated third-party analytics platform such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, Hotjar, or similar analytics services.

Sowora may use essential cookies or similar browser storage technologies for functionality such as maintaining application preferences or sessions.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies or browser storage may affect some functionality of the service.

09

Account and data deletion

Sowora does not currently provide a self-service account deletion button.

You may request deletion of your Sowora account and associated personal information by contacting:

support.sowora@gmail.com

We may need to verify that the request relates to your account before taking action. We will review and process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and information that we are required or permitted to retain for legitimate purposes, including legal, security, fraud-prevention, or record-keeping requirements.

10

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to:

  • request information about personal data processed about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of personal information where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • raise concerns about how your information is processed.

To make a privacy or data request, contact support.sowora@gmail.com. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity or account before processing a request.

11

Data retention

We retain personal and financial information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, provide requested functionality, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent misuse, or fulfil legitimate operational purposes.

Temporary uploaded PDF files used for extraction are intended to be removed after processing completes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how you use the service.

Where you request deletion, information will be deleted or de-identified where appropriate and technically feasible, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain.

12

Children's privacy

Sowora is intended for general adult use and is not designed specifically for children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Sowora inappropriately, please contact support.sowora@gmail.com.

13

Security

Security is an ongoing process at Sowora. We use measures designed to protect personal and financial information, including authenticated access, user-scoped database access controls, protected application connections, security headers, controls around uploaded PDF processing, temporary processing storage with cleanup, and protection of application secrets and environment configuration.

If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability in Sowora, please contact support.sowora@gmail.com.

14

Third-party services and future changes

Sowora relies on third-party technology providers to operate parts of the service, including infrastructure and authentication providers such as Supabase.

Sowora uses Razorpay, a third-party payment service provider, to process payments for paid access. When you make a payment, payment-related information may be processed by Razorpay in accordance with its applicable terms and privacy practices. Sowora does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials.

15

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Sowora's features, technology, legal requirements, or data practices change.

When material changes are made, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the service.
